Size Reduction Technology and Milling
The roots of MAIER are deeply grounded in traditional mill construction. Having started as an experienced millwright, we have successfully expanded our process engineering application field over the decades to the entire spectrum of general bulk materials technology.
Nevertheless, a central core process of the milling industry remains a fundamental driver of our daily innovative strength to this day: the precise grinding and size reduction of a wide variety of products. We cultivate this tradition with pride and still carry the classic, extremely robust hammer mill in our permanent assortment. To this day, we deliver custom-fit spare parts for mills, some of which have been in tireless continuous use worldwide for many decades – a testament to the uncompromising durability of our machines. In addition to classic fine grinding, we have specialized heavily over the years in the efficient coarse crushing of lumps, agglomerates, and cakes. If unwanted product lumps form during storage or in preceding process stages, our systems reliably break them up to ensure a continuous material flow. Our rectangular and round lump breakers are engineered in all imaginable mechanical configurations and dimensions. True to our primary company motto – to always respond flexibly and individually to customer wishes – we adapt the crushing tools, drives, and geometries exactly to the respective bulk material and the structural specifications on site.
