Discharge Systems
The reliable and controlled discharge of raw materials from silos, bins, or process stages forms the foundation for a trouble-free production workflow.
Depending on the requirement, the material flow can be regulated accurately via precise rotary valves or controlled via mechanical flaps and gates, which are usually designed for clear distinction of process paths into "open" or "closed" positions. However, since bulk materials exhibit highly diverse flow behaviors, standard solutions often reach their limits. An outstanding core product from MAIER in this area is the specially developed wing discharger, which safely and continuously keeps even extremely poorly flowing, sticky, or bridging products in motion. For applications with maximum hygienic requirements, however, we rely on our highly innovative vibrating bin activator equipped with an advanced BFM fitting. This flexible, absolutely dust-tight connection eliminates dead spaces and prevents contamination in the sensitive product stream. If a product still does not flow as desired due to its physical properties, the discharge process can be supported through the targeted use of air nozzles, pneumatic knocker hammers, or mechanical activators. To meet the strictest standards of the food, chemical, and milling industries, MAIER manufactures these systems without exception in high-quality, robust stainless steel designs – we do not use inferior plastic components at product-contact points.
