Micro-Doser

Design

The micro-doser essentially consists of a container, a housing from which the product is conveyed, a dosing tube, and a single or double dosing spiral. An agitator (loosening device) serves to break or prevent potential product bridging inside the housing. The dosing spiral and the agitator are driven by a gear motor, optionally with a frequency converter, whereby power is transmitted via a toothed belt. For special applications, separate gear motors can also be planned to drive the dosing spiral and the agitator individually. Dosing devices with conveyor spirals are widely used in bulk material technology, for example, for filling processes of small batches. Micro-dosing units can be used as volumetric dosing devices or, in conjunction with a weighing system, as gravimetric dosing devices.
