Rectangular Silo

Design

If space conditions are to be utilized optimally, a storage silo with a rectangular cross-section is the best choice. With rectangular silos, however, it must be ensured that the internal pressure does not lead to a deformation of the wall surfaces. This can be prevented through the targeted use of internals optimized for tensile forces. Since corners are generally susceptible to product residues, MAIER rectangular silos for bulk materials are ideally folded. Special radii and coves (chamfers) reliably prevent product deposits here. Furthermore, the lower part of the silo is often equipped with a discharge hopper including a round opening, which guarantees ideal outflow behavior.
