Design

Rectangular depots are usually secured to the floor or ceiling using four or more support brackets along with corresponding structural supports or hangers. Since bins with a square or rectangular cross-section are frequently installed inside buildings, they make optimal use of limited space. Furthermore, the rectangular design enables very high discharge rates, for instance via screw conveyors. To prevent product bridging or blockages, MAIER consistently ensures that the corners are designed with the largest possible radii or fillets. In combination with an appropriate surface treatment or coating, this effectively ensures that no residues remain inside the bin.
